Youri Tielemans (born 7 May 1997) is a Belgian international who plays for Anderlecht in the Belgian Pro League. On 2 October 2013, Tielemans became the youngest Belgian player to play in the UEFA Champions League, making his Champions League debut at the age of 16 years and 148 days. Often considered as one of the brightest young prospects in world football, Youri Tielemans was impressive in the pre-season friendlies for the Belgian club.
RSC Anderlecht have had a history of producing some really good footballers, which included layers like Lukaku. Tielemans is a talisman for the team, he always wants the ball and has a great desire to get involved in his side’s counter attacking build up play.Tielemans is naturally talented, often playing as a playmaker. He possesses great skill on the ball, as well as a good passing game and an ability to control the game.The defensive side of his game has a lot of scope for improvement, but he has been known to position himself well for interceptions, and closing down the gap.He also has an innate talent for long rangers and taking penalties. The right ingredients are there in him to be a complete midfielder. Just a matter of time before he makes it on the big stage.At the moment he should concentrate on consistency in his performances for the club, which will show him way into the Belgian national team.
