His iconic assist to Adebayor in a late winner against Manchester United at Old Trafford after successfully tackling Cristiano Ronaldo through the midway and that Emotional Celebration after scoring a long range winner against defending UCL champions AC Milan showcased his talent and his sheer passion for the game.
In his second spell at Chelsea, Jose Mourinho deployed him in a double pivot role. Even then he yielded his embarking passing vision which resulted in 18 assists, At one stage breaking Thierry Henry’s 20 assist record seems to be a walk in the park for him.
