Top 10 Biggest football stadiums in EuropeWestfalenstadion, also known as Signal Iduna Park, is the home ground of German outfit, Borussia Dortmund. The seating capacity is just over 81,359 and was built in 1959. The stadium hosted four games in 1074 World Cup and six matches in 2006 World Cup.

Signal Iduna Park is regarded as one of the difficult place to visit by the opponents, due to the extraordinary ambience provided by the home supporters. Due to the terrific vibe it triggers, south terrace of the stadium has been nicknamed as ‘Yellow wall’. Yellow wall is the largest free-standing grandstand in Europe.

The Times elected this stadium as the ‘Best Football Stadium’. During the renovations done in the 21st century, an undetonated bomb of 450 kilograms were found from the middle of the pitch, which is supposed to be dropped during the Second World War.
