In limited-overs cricket, Rohit Gurunath Sharma has been one of the finest cricketers in the last 2-3 years. Rohit has been just marvelous for Mumbai since he has taken over the reins of the side from Ricky Ponting. One can very well see the price-tag which now Sharma puts on his wicket whenever he comes out to bat. The Mumbaikar pulled the rabbit out of the hat on many occasions this season as well. Particularly, in chases he was outright magnificent. Overall, the stylish batter caressed 489 runs at an average of 44 and strike-rate of 132. It was his heroics with the bat which kept Mumbai in the hunt for play-offs till last day of the league phase.
