But Murali Vijay was in such a prosperous form this season that he finished as the best batsman for the Kings. Vijay’s classical strokes and crisp timing mesmerized the fans to the very best. After Miller endured a horrific run as the skipper of the side, Vijay was made the captain in the middle of the tournament. And Punjab responded well to the change as their performances improved under him. Vijay led from the front and stroked 453 runs in 14 innings at an average of 35 and strike-rate of 125.
